ご宿泊 — ACCOMMODATION
What does it mean
to truly rest?
Six rooms set in the bushland at Hepburn Springs. Tatami underfoot, sliding shoji screens onto your own Japanese garden, a deep soaking bath for two. Water flows softly and time passes slowly.

静 — THE SHIZUKA EXPERIENCE
What two nights here actually feels like
The arrival, and the bath at dusk. Breakfast set on lacquerware. A slow drift through the gardens. At night, in traditional ryokan fashion, the table is cleared and futon bedding is laid directly on the tatami — a second morning that feels unlike the first.

ご滞在の前に — BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Prepare for your stay
If you’ve already included dinner, spa treatments or other experiences in your booking, there’s nothing more to do. If not, we recommend arranging them before you arrive, as availability can be limited.
You may also choose from a range of optional additions to personalise your stay, including flowers, a traditional yukata to take home, bottled spring water or sparkling wine.
All additions are optional and available for an additional charge. Booking ahead allows us to have everything prepared for your arrival.
What to bring
Very little. Each room already has soft cotton yukata robes, slippers, and organic soap, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser made by our own aromatherapist.
Bring layers for the highland evenings, flat shoes for the gardens, your own toothbrush and toothpaste (a small sustainability habit we keep), and as little of the outside world as you can manage.
