貸切 — HOST YOUR RETREAT
A Japanese ryokan,
exclusively yours
Bring your retreat to Shizuka midweek and the whole ryokan is yours: six rooms, the bath, our kitchen and the woodland garden at Hepburn Springs, near Daylesford. You bring the practice. We take care of everything else.
協働 — A PARTNERSHIP
Your retreat, our ryokan
Shizuka is a traditional Japanese ryokan with six rooms. Midweek, we close the house to other guests and give it to your group: your people, your programme, our hospitality.
Every retreat here is a partnership. We shape the days with you, from the meals to the time in the bath, so the place supports what you teach.
Each retreat is quoted individually, built around your programme and your group.

設え — WHAT SHIZUKA PROVIDES
You bring the practice. We hold everything else.
Everything your group needs for a few quiet days, shaped around your programme.
宿
The whole ryokan
Six rooms for up to 12 guests, twin share, with no other overnight guests in the house. If needed, we can host the facilitator in the cottage next door.
食
Meals from our kitchen
Japanese meals cooked by our chef, from the breakfast tray to dinner. All meals or just some, timed around your sessions.
湯
The Japanese bath
Bathing sessions for your group in our hinoki bath, filled with magnesium-rich water. For most guests, it’s the part of the day they remember.
道場
Space and equipment
A sun-drenched space overlooking the garden and the bushland beyond, with yoga mats and props ready for up to twelve people. Nothing to pack in the car.
手当
Massage and treatments
Each guest receives one treatment during the retreat, with the option to book more. Our therapists can bring shiatsu, aromatherapy massage or Reiki to your programme.
森林浴
Forest therapy
Guided shinrin-yoku among the trees around the ryokan. A natural partner to yoga and meditation.
