Shizuka Ryokan is renowned for its authentic traditional cuisine. It is one of the few Australian venues offering a traditional Japanese breakfast platter. With advance notice (at least one week before arrival) we will happily discuss and accommodate most dietary requirements.
The banquet dinner is $85 per guest—this is discounted to $75 if booked at the same time as your original online accommodation reservation. Bed & Breakfast bookings (only available via this website) include breakfast. “Room Only” bookings may add breakfast for $25 per guest. Breakfast and dinner must be booked in advance.
The “omakase” banquet dinner service is available on Saturday, Monday and Thursday evenings. Omakase is a Japanese phrase that literally means “I’ll leave it to you”. Derived from the concept to entrust, the term describes a set of dining courses selected by the chef on a daily basis with regard to freshness, seasonality, availability and dietary restrictions. Variations will occur due to seasonal availability.
